"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” -Anne Frank 97 years ago today, Anne Frank was born. Her diary, written in hiding over two years in an Amsterdam annex, has become one of the most widely read accounts of the Holocaust. She would be 97 today. She could have been a writer, a grandmother. Instead her life was cut short at 15, in Bergen-Belsen, just weeks before liberation. What she left behind is barely a fraction of who she might have become. But to us, her words live on forever. May Anne’s memory be a blessing.

This is my great aunt, my grandmother's sister. An amazing story about an amazing woman.
In April 1943, inside Barrack #27 in Auschwitz-Birkenau, a group of starving women risked everything to hold a secret Passover Seder. This is Bertha's story. 🧵 @AuschwitzMuseum

To this day, students stand at that same barrack and sing V'hi She'amda. In every generation, some rise up to destroy the Jewish people. And in every generation, we endure.

This Shabbat, as you light your candles, remember Bertha and the many who risked everything to keep their Judaism alive. May her memory be a blessing.

Today marks one year since the devastating terrorist attack outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. Catherine Szkop (29) and Abbie Talmoud (25) survived this horrific attack in which their colleagues Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were murdered. We were honored to have Catherine and Abbie march with us this year at the International March of the Living alongside Holocaust survivors who survived unimaginable tragedies. During the March, Szkop turned to Holocaust survivor Allan J. Hall, a Polish-born survivor from Miami Beach, for guidance: "I asked him if he had any advice, specifically about survivor's guilt. The first thing he said was, 'When young people come face to face with the reality of death, it's very, very traumatizing. It's unnatural. But I want you to understand that everything you're feeling is normal and valid.'" 🔗Link to the full CNN article in the first comment. May Sarah and Yaron's memory be a blessing.

March of the Living mourns the passing of Abraham (Abe) Foxman. Abraham was an extraordinary Jewish leader and Holocaust survivor who led the ADL for nearly three decades. He accompanied a group of 250 @ADL supporters on the 2005 March of the Living. His voice and legacy will live on through the thousands of lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing.

Statement from Scott Saunders, CEO of International March of the Living, Founder & Chairman of March of the Living UK following the horrific antisemitic attack in London today. A man hunting Jews in the streets of Golders Green is the reality Jewish communities are facing today. Two people were injured in a stabbing attack that appears to have deliberately targeted Jews in one of London’s most visibly Jewish neighborhoods. This follows a surge in threats and attacks against Jewish homes, synagogues, and community spaces across the UK. This is part of a broader pattern unfolding worldwide, with Jews being targeted in the United States, Canada, Australia, and across Europe. Public spaces are becoming points of vulnerability, and visibly Jewish individuals are increasingly at risk. This is what happens when antisemitism is allowed to escalate in plain sight. Jews should not have to hide who they are or change how they live in order to feel safe. Authorities must respond with immediate and visible action — through enforcement, protection, and accountability. The International March of the Living was founded on the principle that “Never Again” is a responsibility. That responsibility applies here and now. We stand with the victims and with the Jewish community in the UK and around the world.
