Yesterday, our Grade 10 Geography students embarked on an enriching academic trip to the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) and the Survey of Kenya (SOK). The visit provided a firsthand experience of mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, surveying, and other geospatial technologies, bringing classroom learning to life and deepening their understanding of key concepts within the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum.

Earlier today, we proudly hosted a Tree Planting Day with the Young Farmers Clubs of Kenya (YFCK) and Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) uniting students, staff, and partners in a shared mission of environmental conservation and sustainability.
The event, graced by Chief Guest of Honour Mr. David Kuria, (CECM, Water,
Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change - Kiambu County), alongside officials from Elgon Kenya, Y.F.C.K, and A.S.K leadership, highlighted the power of collective action in advancing climate responsibility among the youth.
Through teamwork and dedication, numerous fruit trees were planted at the campus, a meaningful step toward creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

Our students recently took part in an engaging session led by our Entrepreneurship and Innovation team, introducing them to the AwardX Youth Entrepreneurship Competition.
Salah Osman, LaunchX’s Strategic Partnerships and Expansion Lead for East Africa, shared insights on how AwardX equips young innovators with practical skills and real-world venture-building experience. LaunchX, originally developed at MIT, continues to expand its footprint across the region, supporting students to develop viable, revenue-generating startups.
Aligned with our commitment to developing transformational leaders through innovation, the session offered valuable exposure to entrepreneurship pathways and opportunities available through AwardX.

Having first engaged with PDF through the @MPESAFdnAcademy , where he gave the 2023 keynote during the 5th edition, Emmanuel returned this year as a gap year student, curating and coordinating activities at the Ni Sisi Ni Sasa Village at PDF 2026 🎤.
