Accurate community note aside, this is the false equivalence fallacy.
The Super Bowl is a 1-day event played by 2 teams from one nation.
The World Cup is a weeks-long event with teams competing from literally around the world.
The addressable markets are vastly different.

This has happened at least twice this year to the Pirates that I know of, and I don't even get to watch most of the games.
Ironically, it was the injury to Pirate Jung-Ho Kang in 2015 that was a primary catalyst for this type of slide becoming illegal in the first place.

Here's a weird truth I learned this week: I'd be lost without my...
...electric kettle.
I drink pour-over coffee and green tea. Besides water, those are my go-to beverages. My smart kettle (I have my reasons) broke Sunday. Fortunately I was able to replace it overnight, but the anxiety of not having my morning coffee had me in a mild panic.
Nevermind that I have a stove and several saucepans... 😂

1) No one puts the fill down first, then the border.
2) You can't plant flowers in 2 inches of mulch over top of gravel.
3) The water is still draining next to the foundation, which will erode the soil under the foundation, leading to sagging/collapse. Not fixed.

It's LaDainian Tomlinson. Lots of folks will say Emmitt Smith, but he was the better overall player. 8x Pro Bowler, 4x All Pro for Smith vs. 5 and 3 for Tomlinson. And for both, all of those accolades happened in their first 10 years so longevity has nothing to do with it.

I'm sitting here watching my 14 year old son get fitted for a helmet and shoulder pads for his first season of tackle football, and I'm feeling a lot of pride right now. He's undersized and has only played a few seasons of flag FB, but he's committed and doing the hard things.

This is the worst argument yet. You've basically said a city with fewer than 20 million fans simply doesn't deserve a championship.
LA and NY have more fans. More fans equals more paying customers who purchasing desires should be met. 20 million fans ought to have more access to a championship than 2 million.

The proposed salary cap is equivalent to ~1/4 of Nutting's net worth. It's equivalent to 1/80th of the Dodgers' ownership group's collective worth.

Baseball isn’t the primary revenue source for almost all of these owners. They have the money, period.
