The last of this year’s @PinnerAssociat-organised Concerts in the Park was blessed with clear blue skies, hot weather and great music.
We encouraged several #Pinner residents to join Met Engage, and with our X accounts closing you should do too via metengage.co.uk.
Retail workers deserve respect, not abuse.
Shoplifters and those buying stolen goods make their jobs harder and more dangerous. If you know who’s shoplifting or buying stolen items, speak up to Crimestoppers.

🚨 Your bank or the police will never ring you to tell you they are coming to your home to pick up money or your card. Never hand these over to anyone who comes to collect it.
ℹ️Need to check if the call is genuine? Contact the organisation directly using contact details you know are correct, such as those on a bank statement, the back of your card, or by calling 159 for your bank

We all need a little help from our friends sometimes. 💜
Talking to friends about your mental health, and supporting a friend with a mental health problem, can be difficult to do. We have some tips to help you: bit.ly/3GVqjps#InternationalDayOfFriendship
ALT A graphic with a purple background features a white outline of two steaming coffee cups on the lower left and right corners. Text at the top reads "Supporting a friend with their mental health," with "mental health" in orange. The Mental Health Foundation logo is at the bottom right.
ALT Purple background with a large speech bubble enclosing the text: "If you're a friend of someone with a mental health problem, you may be concerned about them. The most important thing is to show them that you're still their friend and you care about them." Below, a drawing of a smartphone and the text: "Make time to call, text, visit or invite someone over can make a big difference." Bottom right corner has the Mental Health Foundation logo.
ALT Purple background with white text and illustrations. A game controller, steaming coffee cup, and orange fragment are drawn. Text reads: "Your friend isn’t looking for another mental health professional – they just want your support as a friend. They're likely to want to keep things as normal as possible, even if you need to adapt some of the activities you used to do together." Mental Health Foundation logo at the bottom.
ALT A vibrant graphic with a deep purple background features white and green text: "Practical help can be valuable too. Cleaning, shopping and basic household tasks can seem impossible to someone who is having a difficult time. Ask your friend what they need: it could be going to appointments with them, helping them manage their finances or finding information about therapies and services, for example." The design includes an abstract green frying pan and orange corner detail. The Mental Health Foundation's logo is at the bottom right.
