Be careful if you visit Plumb Beach. This tick was documented there today. Google search said it is an "American Dog Tick," known to transmit Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever & Tularemia. Not known to transmit Lyme disease. Check your legs if you walk in tall grass during high tide.
