The BBC followed the story of in-laws, Lesley and Chris, as Lesley saved her son-in-lawβs life by donating her kidney.

There are three main blood tests that will determine if a patient and a potential donor are a #kidney match. These are blood typing, tissue typing and cross-matching.

Apparently itβs tradition for the transplant registrar to take a picture with the islet cells when doing an islet cell transplant at @MRITransplant so here is said picture π€·π»ββοΈ operating is cool, but itβs not every day you get to agitate cells into a portal vein!
