Another huge upgrade headed for MSU's Max T. Rogers NMR facility! Congratulations, @TuoWangLab and everyone who made this award possible!
We are grateful for a 1.8M S10 grant from NIH through for upgrading a 600 MHz NMR with a new magnet and the most advanced solid-state cyroprobe. This enhancement will significantly boost our capability to analyze cellular samples of pathogens. @MSUChem @MSUNatSci

One week after @EmanuelContC, another PhD student in my group, @KartikPal574, gave a very nice seminar about downfolding pursued by our group alumni Drs. Karol Kowalski and Nick Bauman, which has math origins in my old SSMRCC work with Prof. Ludwik Adamowicz. Well done, Kartik!
One of the PhD students in my group, @EmanuelContC, gave a wonderful departmental seminar about the state-universal multireference coupled-cluster theory, its historical origins, mathematical foundations, early developments, and more recent work. Great job, Emanuel! @MSUChem

And the third -- congratulations all on a triple-header! 🥳
Another important study on JACS: we have relied on the sensitivity of DNP to track the incorporation of Phe and Tyr into lignin network in the grass cell wall of Brachypodium and understand biosynthetic pathway. #PlantBiology #nmrchat @MSUChem @MSUNatSci  pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…

The second of three new @J_A_C_S papers out from the Wang Lab this spring!
Now on JACS: we show that how alpha-glucans play important roles in cell wall remodeling and change immune recognition in a vaccine candidate strain of Aspergillus fumigatus #nmrchat @MSUChem @MSUNatSci @MRCcmm  pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…

Be on the lookout this spring for new @J_A_C_S breakthroughs from the NMR-maestros in the Wang Lab!🔬
In collaboration with Nishiyama and Xu groups, we combined the use of solid-state NMR and X-ray to determine the structural organizations of cellulose, xylan, and lignin in wheat straw and provide a unified model. #nmrchat @MSUChem @MSUNatSci
