Since so many people have asked me if this is an issue, I figure I should respond to this and clear up any misunderstanding of how merged mining works and how it affects 51% attack.

Users are advised against engaging in these behaviors, then things like this happen.
#dogecoin being used as a toy, is not nice; clarity?
If major Dogecoin holders sell most of their coins, it will get my full support. Too much concentration is the only real issue imo.

Reality is that in all of this @dogecoin_devs have had to spend more time educating people who ignore that most things are answered 100x over, instead of doing work or helping new users learn the technical side. That and coping with entire communities on fire.

Remember: Clubhouse falls under the Bro Code: everyone records everything but will immediately claim privilege, act indignant, but rarely face consequences because of another kind of privilege. The person recording, unless they're a true in-bro, will be ostracised, though.

Imagine sitting for an article, providing data sources, information and documented things.. Then the author decides that it is not flashy enough to be honest or clear. Crypto journalists do not have to adhere to any level of journalistic integrity. They are not people who 1/2

have even seen the words "journalistic/integrity/standards/ethics". We were approached for an informational article, we stepped into it with expectation to it being that, rather than an opinion based slam piece with our names attached for attention sake.

Coindesk recently published an article claiming that "It’s theoretically easy [...] to 51% attack Dogecoin to cheat its network to print new coins"
This claim is false. Their math is wrong by several orders of magnitude. Requests for correction were left unanswered.
