🌡️ Round two, New York. Friday is the last hot day of this stretch, with the heat index peaking near 97°F (36°C) in the late afternoon. The Heat Advisory stays in effect and lifts at 8 PM tonight. Keep finding a cool option, meaning any public or private space with air conditioning, like a library, a mall, a friend's place, or a city cooling center. Find one near you at on.nyc.gov/2U2dXTP. 🧊 Relief is on the way: a cold front rolls in tonight with storms, then clears the air for a cooler, less humid weekend. Here is Friday hour by hour. 👇

☀️ Heads-up, New York. Thursday brings the first real scorcher of the season, with the heat index climbing to 98°F (37°C) by early afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon Thursday through 8 PM Friday. The best move on a day like this is to find a cool option, meaning any public or private space with air conditioning, like a library, a mall, a friend’s place, or a city cooling center. Find one near you at nyc.gov/beattheheat. 🧊 Cranking AC across the city also strains the power grid, so timing your energy use matters too. Here is how the day will feel hour by hour, and what to do at each step to stay ahead of both. 👇
