Merchant Taylors' Prep, formerly Northwood Prep. An independent school for boys, based on our founding principles of Compassion, Opportunity and Excellence.
In recent days we've enjoyed the Christmas Concert, our Carol Service held in the Great Hall at the senior school, followed by Christmas Lunch and Jumpers. Here's a snapshot of our boys and staff coming together in celebration and thanks, for all we have achieved.
Two teams competed in the semi-final of the Quiz Club General Knowledge quiz. Team 1 came 2nd, qualifying for the national final in Oxford next June. Team 2 came 8th, with a very good chance of joining them. Well done to all the boys for their collaboration & excellent knowledge.
We're wishing all the boys taking @ABRSM music exams today the very best of luck. Not that they'll need it. We know they'll hit the right note. 🎵

Congratulations to this marvellous Year 6 gentleman, who proved himself to be the Lando Norris of MTP. He posted the fastest times round a giant Scalextric track at last weekend's Christmas Fair. He's a massive fan of McLaren, so maybe this is the start of a high octane career?
The cold and mist might have us all huddled up in thick jackets, but how beautiful it makes the school look in the morning light.

This is Anti Bullying Week. We've got a host of activities planned. Today we began by celebrating difference, and wore odd socks to remind us that everybody fits in, whatever their look or style.

Tomorrow is our first Bowvember fundraiser of the month. Every Friday staff and boys will don their best bowties and make a donation. This year we are supporting the work of children's mental health charity, @Place2Be.

Our Yr 8 pupils took the lead in this week's Remembrance Day assembly. Before our formal event next Tuesday, the boys discussed their recent trip to the battlefields and WWI memorials in Belgium - a sobering reminder of how many people made the ultimate sacrifice.

Tomorrow is our Harvest Festival. We are gathering donations to send to the Watford Food Bank. There's still time for your son to bring in more to add to the collection. We thank you for helping those who are hungry in their time of need. 🙏🏻

This Year 6 pupil had a phenomenal end to his cricket season. After representing school & training with Middlesex, his teams won the U11 Middlesex County Cup, U10 Herts tournament, and finished with selection for the World U12 Junior League in Spain!

With England playing Wales tonight, here are some shots from our residential trip to St George's Park National Football Centre, the England training ground. Boys enjoyed three days of high level coaching, matches, & played on the same pitches as their heroes!
