The innovation exhibition provided students with an opportunity to present practical solutions capable of transforming communities while strengthening the connection between academia, research, entrepreneurship, and industry. #FCIInnovationAwards

Dr. Fred Kaggwa, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics at @MbararaUST, commended students for using technology and innovation to address real societal challenges in health, education, environmental conservation, and mental health. “These projects demonstrate that our students are not simply learning technology in classrooms but are applying it to solve real-world challenges and build a better future for Uganda and beyond.” Dr. Fred Kaggwa #FCIInnovationAwards

Dr. Fred Kaggwa appreciated the role of academic staff, mentors, and industry partners in nurturing innovation and bridging the gap between academia and industry. “If we do not have industry, then we do not have problems to work on. Industry partnerships help students understand real challenges and inspire practical solutions through innovation.” He stated. “As we celebrate today’s winners, we must also celebrate every student who dared to dream, innovate, and turn ideas into reality.” Dr. Fred Kaggwa during the FCI Innovation Awards at MUST.
