Today marks 5 years since the first lockdown because of covid-19.
Without the heroic efforts of our nhs and other public service workers its difficult to imagine where we would be now. During this week and as always, we must remember those that we lost during that time.

Everyone at mid yorks UNISON are saddened to hear about the sudden death of ken Capstick. Ken was vice president of the national minors union (NUM) And remained a prominent figure for trade unions throughout the country.
Thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends.

The Political Fund Ballot closed on 16 August and 96.7% of members voted in favour of retaining the political fund.
We can now continue to maintain a political fund and Labour Link for another 10 years until a further review ballot is required. Thank you to everyone who voted.
