The CFA has declared a Total Fire Ban tomorrow (Sun 11 Jan) for the Central district (which includes the #MacedonRanges). Resource recovery facilities will be closed, in line with our safety policies to protect staff and the community.

- Emergency Relief Centre has opened at Kyneton Toyota Sports and Aquatic Centre, to support evacuees from the Harcourt fire - The Centre's BAU operations (pool, gym) will be temporarily closed as a result - Tmrw is a Total Fire Ban - resource recovery facilities will be closed

You may notice smoke today in the northeast of the #MacedonRanges from a bushfire near Longwood, more than 100km away. While there is no immediate local threat, smoke can travel long distances. Stay informed via VicEmergency website, app and ABC emergency broadcasters.
