X axis drive module cooling PCB with direct connection to stepper motor. This is for an enclosed printer where temps can affect stepper motor performance.

Not done yet but too good not to share. The most overkill hobby spindle. That's right, integrated fld/mst cooling and purge air. Still missing a key feature, waiting on PCB 😉. This little CNC mill is going to be badass!

Glad that's over! Post heat fit up. The body has been bored slightly undersized it is then heated and slid over the spindle cartridge making for a permanent fit that is uniformly even.

Throwback to the first 3D printer I designed and built. All of the 3D printers I have produced after can trace their printed parts lineage back to this printer. Because this printer was my first, all parts had to be machined. 400mm cubic coreXY

These Chinese companies will go through the hassle to make make 15 mm wide GT2 belts and drive pulleys but they don't make 15 mm wide GT2 idlers. WTF!!?!?

Doing a little experiment today feeling extrusion with sand to help combat resonance of my printer builds. 3D printed plugs with o-rings make a nice tight fit. Finally super glue helps ensure the plugs never move and keep the sand compressed.
