If you say this is preposterous or crazy, prove me wrong by asking for the National Guard to do a criminal investigation of public misconduct. It costs nothing. Any reputable police officer should be eager to undergo a military inspection.

Maybe the solution is a rule change for the city council. Add a rule where officers are required to issue a $20 citation before they expel someone for disruption. That would probably keep things calmer and let people challenge expulsions.

Disruptions really don't rise to the level of misdemeanors, IMHO, and this would be a more appropriate penalty.
