I've always said CFB is a game of knowledge. What I like about CFB 27 is that it feels like EA is making it easier to get that knowledge onto the field, specifically with these: -Custom Adjustments -Global Coverage Adjustments Saved adjustments and situational adjustments don't make somebody better at the game. They just let good players get to the adjustments they were already making faster. The players who understand football are still going to have the advantage. Now they'll spend less time clicking through menus and more time actually playing.

New to CFB 27: More detailed Global Coverage Adjustments. You can now tell your defense to play Conservative, Aggressive, or Ultra Aggressive. Conservative should help keep defenders in position and limit big plays. Aggressive allows defenders to challenge routes more aggressively and make more plays on the football. Ultra Aggressive appears to be the highest risk, highest reward option, giving defenders more freedom to attack routes and look for turnovers. The biggest thing I'll be watching is whether each modifier has a meaningful tradeoff. If so, this adds another layer of strategy to defense instead of everyone playing coverage the exact same way.

This might be the most controversial feature in College Football 27. The new Catch Meter sounds great for creating a skill gap. But are we about to have a Zen problem similar to what 2K dealt with? If timing becomes a major factor in catches, that's one of the first things that comes to mind. Hopefully EA has already thought about it.

Apparently, leverage is going to matter a LOT more in College Football 27. DBs will now align and react based on inside, outside, and over-the-top leverage, which could mean coverage finally starts playing the way it's supposed to. What this could mean: • Better positioning from defenders • More realistic man coverage battles • More importance on identifying leverage before the snap • Route concepts becoming even more important This feels like one of those changes that won't get a ton of attention right now, but could have a major impact on gameplay.

🏈 The QB Sneak is finally getting an upgrade in CFB 27. EA has added new physics and interaction logic to make short-yardage situations feel more realistic. That means fewer "stuck in place" animations and more authentic push-the-pile moments when fighting for inches. Third-and-1 and Goal Line situations should feel a lot different this year. Small change? Big Impact? Not sure yet...

One of the biggest gameplay additions in CFB 27: Custom Adjustments. You can now save entire defensive or offensive setups and apply them instantly before the snap. What used to take 15 button presses can now be done with a couple clicks. I've wanted something like this for years. The best players already make the same adjustments every snap. Now you can spend less time button-mashing and more time actually playing football.
