I had a blast creating and running this NCE with @PatriciaShelt! The intersection between medicine and storytelling is one of my favorite topics, and it has been so amazing to bring together med students interested in reading and writing for fun and meaningful discussions!
Thank you so much to all the students who participated in the fall sessions of our Narrative Medicine NCE! We loved discussing literary works together in topics ranging from metaphors in medicine to unreliable narrators and enjoyed hearing each other’s creative writing!

Last night’s Diversity Show/Open Mic Night was a success! With emcees @bahl_s22 and @MaddyGrano, the various performances ranged from singing to spoken work pieces and even a dance routine. Three of our board members: Adrian Kase, @PatriciaShelt, and @JenGeller1 performed!

So proud and excited to have been a part of this amazing team. Medicine and stories are inextricably linked, and I am so moved by the written narratives that my classmates at @RWJMS had to share!
We are so excited to announce the publication of the second edition of “Arbor Vitae: Reflections from the Students of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School”! The paperback version and kindle version can both be purchased on Amazon: amazon.com/gp/product/B09GXP…

This @RWJMS Narrative Medicine non-credit elective was one of my favorite parts of M1. I am so grateful for my classmates and the amazing discussions we had about how storytelling, literature, and writing can make us better doctors. @ArborVitaeRWJMS
