Magento recently released the 2.4.3 version of Magento Open Source, which includes several fixes for critical security vulnerabilities. This version, and those released previously, are now included in our Magento Version Check.

The team had to change their original name, Bento, due to legal issues. They then came up with Magento, based on the word Mage, which wizards in roleplaying games are often referred to as.
