My friend bought a Tata Safari six months ago for βΉ27 lakhs. Since then, he has been facing frequent issues with the engine and several other components. Whatβs more frustrating is that the service centres refuse to acknowledge these problems as manufacturing defects.
It seems Tata is compromising on engine quality, whether itβs the diesel or petrol variants. If youβre planning to spend 25β30 lakhs on a car, I strongly advise you to think very carefully before choosing Tata. The ownership experience has been quite horrible. If safety is your top priority, you might as well buy a tank and drive it on the road β at least that would feel more reassuring.
They appear to be selling these cars largely on the reputation of βsafety,β but the real-world experience doesnβt match the hype.
In my opinion, Toyota is far more reliable. Their long-term track record, especially with models like the Innova Crysta, speaks for itself.
Just sharing this so others can think twice before buying a Tata vehicle.
