10-year-old girl among 7 Kenyans honoured with the UKās Diana Award
The seven Kenyans honoured with the UKās Diana Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to various fields are:
Delight Ratesh Mc'Dan (10): Delight works to address youth crime and school dropouts through a variety of projects, including the Delight Book Club.
Ruto Kiprop Daniel (22): Through the Safina Development Organisation, Ruto addresses environmental sustainability and social empowerment in Kenyaās arid regions.
Samuel Mburu Kairu (22): A third-year Sociology and Gender student at Kenyatta University, Samuel is a passionate youth leader and activist with the Young Leaders Association.
Christine Nyanchama Magoma Oumar (25): A peacebuilder and advocate for youth empowerment and democracy, Christine leads Tek4Peace Africa, a platform using technology to foster social cohesion and development.
Glory Gakii Mwithali (25): A passionate mental health advocate and founder of Growing Up and Liking It (GULI), a youth-led organisation combating mental health stigma and promoting accessible care.
Sheryl B. Kemunto Mboya (25): A lawyer and tech expert, Sheryl is passionate about leveraging her skills for social impact through the ISISA Foundation.
James Odhiambo (25): Through the Millennium Campus Network, James has introduced thousands to social impact careers by curating webinars with top leaders and mentoring young people.
