Absolutely pathetic. Why the hell did we give Arteta a contract before the season even finished? This will be his 12th League loss of the season, after spending £250m in 2yrs. That would normally get an Arsenal manager the sack not a bloody new deal.

Remember when this lot used to say Manchester was blue and everyone outside of Manchester believed them? 😂😂 They’re in a title race and their tickets for the penultimate home game of the season are on GENERAL SALE with 3 tickets each. 1000s still available. The game’s tomorrow.

Over the last few months, a close mate of mine has teamed up with Chris McGrath and a few guests to film a series of video podcasts featuring former old-school Manchester United players. The first episode is now live and features @Paulmcgrath5 — definitely worth a watch for any football fan. Future guests that have already been recorded are @NormanWhiteside, Frank Stapleton, and Mike Duxbury from United. Available here: youtube.com/watch?v=u9o3-etF… Appreciate a follow @MaccaandBeats and a repost to help my mate out.

Hundreds upon hundreds of tickets for Chelsea’s final home match available on Todd Boehly’s Vivid Seats website. This could be a crucial match & having away fans in the home end is a risk. Yet all this is sacrificed for someone to make a quick buck, and the Premier League turn a blind eye.

Match suddenly upside down. Maguire with a hand on Evanilson that was lighter than Amad received for his penalty claim - but this time adjudged foul red. Can’t square those calls. #MUFC

Forest do have a couple of European Cups on the board
A Premier League side finishing 17th but end up winning the Europa League? Sounds familiar…

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case. Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game. I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others. That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.

Is the Club World Cup exertions coming back to haunt city & Chelsea or is it just karma? Nearly 200 charges between them
Chelsea are dumped out of the Champions League by the European champions after a ruthless display of finishing over two legs. Paris Saint-Germain win 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and 8-2 on aggregate. The French side are now six games unbeaten against English opposition - their longest run in the history of the competition.

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.
