Building a race car with titanium is simply a lot nicer. You have the option to put weight where you want it, ti is more resistant to corrosion than steel which is nice for something youβre washing 60 times a year. The cost argument is irrelevant, itβs racing & itβs expensive.
So, if the sprint cars are so light that we have to bolt on weight..why donβt we just outlaw Ti and other lightweight metals and only allow steel bolts? Doesnβt that help with cost and add weight?
