Bill 10 is now law.
It will put the brakes on supportive housing and create even higher barriers for any person who uses drugs, even casually, to find and keep housing — supportive or private market.
It will increase homelessness and turn housing across Ontario abstinence-only.
28 May 2025
Bill 10 also makes residential and commercial landlords criminally responsible if their tenants and patrons are trafficking drugs — including cannabis. Importantly, trafficking isn't just selling drugs; it also means being in possession of drugs, including as little as two pills.

Wonder how the 12,000 households living in Inter-rent apts x Canada feel about the fact that
a) their new landlords is in Singapore and is a wealth fund with $800 billion dollars of AUM;
b) their homes were tanking on the stock market but their rents continue to increase - averaging 1,700/mos;
c) their homes continue to be owned by investors whose only concern is the bottom line.
