The #HIV crisis is a gender crisis & reflects multiple intersecting inequalities. We need interventions & policies that are gender-transformative & human rights focused if we stand a chance of protecting AGYW & reducing HIV transmissions.

It is totally unacceptable that still 4,000 adolescent girls and young women acquire HIV each week,
3,000 in Africa.
But even in spite of pushback on SRHR, the pushback on LGBTQ rights, you are fighting - and we are winning.
We must fight for our space, we must claim our space!
So I come with optimism, with confidence - when we are smart, when we are together, when deploy all the strategies from the past - we win!
