My heart is absolutely breaking today for the horses and their people at the Saratoga Casino Hotel Harness Track. 💔 Years ago, I was heading out of town and saw a fire in front of me at the very barn where I had bought my first Rottweiler…the horse barn…I helped pull horses from a burning barn as flames tore through the structure. The fear in their eyes, the chaos, the desperate rush to get them to safety~it’s something that stays with you forever Those moments taught me how fragile and precious these animals are, and how quickly everything can change. Hearing that at least 7 (and reports of up to 17) beautiful horses lost their lives in an early morning barn fire this week hits especially hard. My deepest condolences to the trainers, grooms, owners, and everyone who cared for them. These horses are family, athletes, and souls who give everything.
