OWLS AVOID ELIMINATION: Smith County Owls baseball avoided elimination with a 9-8 shootout victory over Sweetwater in the Class 2A state tournament. Freshman Max Long singled to score classmate Morgan Sinclair from 3rd as the Owls grabbed the walk-off victory in the 7th inning.
