Just my luck to be stuck in airport security behind a guy with an entire box of single edge razor blades and a woman with a whole Sephora spilling out of her bag. Meanwhile my backpack gets flagged for... hard candy.

living in a walkable city that allows you to hang out with your best friends all the time because you can get to them in 15-20 min max (by public transport even) …. Truly nothing compares

Why do these chud fantasies always include a tiny garden when none of these dudes eat vegetables?
This should be the average American home

Swear to god if I ever find out my tax dollars were spent on a jewelled finish on the INSIDE of a truck cabinet I'm gonna become a libertarian
There is simply no available space to make American fire trucks any smaller. Every square inch is occupied with a large amount of specialized equipment that’s unique to us. Elsewhere people just die because they can’t hold the needed equipment on their smaller trucks.

Suburban Toronto is the built environment of Edmonton with the cost and traffic of downtown Toronto. There are no redeeming factors. Its a complete cesspool that anyone should try to escape at any cost.
Updated Toronto vibes map after living here for almost 4 years. Toronto is a New York bordered by 8 Houstons

OMG there is a full site for this. Home airport, miles flown, best food to go to in that distance. fly2lunch.com/

Anecdotally, NASA has astronauts train on T-38 Talons. Since they need the flight hours anyways there are times where they fly cross country just to land at a Podunk airstrip that happens to have a really good burger or soup. Same hours would have been flown regardless.

A McMaster-Carr survey?? Hell yeah I'll take it now. Funny how building a good brand gets your customers engaged.

One thing I've been trying to figure out is the history of bottle deposits. Like not in the past 100 years, but from ancient times. Surely when containers were hand made pots they were valuable enough to have a reuse system of some sort?

I'm sorry but how has this not been the standard since... forever? Wow doctors suck so much more than I thought.
Replying to @sxwrkr_
My mom said to combat a lot of issues like this, she saw hospitals in the area started recommending doctors use a lot of lessons from the aviation sector. Checklists, swiss cheese model, actually writing stuff down. It dramatically reduced shit like this

Maybe it all went wrong when phones stopped being used to meet people and instead became how people met
When people say "the phones", they mean the apps on the phones

Lmfao they spend millions on software devs and PMs to roll out Uber Delivery and all that work gets instantly ruined by some asshole contractor. Why would anyone ever use Uber Delivery if this could happen?
Had this ever happened to anyone?? I booked an @Uber parcel delivery, the driver picked up what I needed and then canceled the ride. Uber assigned the delivery to another driver, but the original driver took my stuff. Support says they don’t see the ride. @Uber_Support ???

In all the $28 lunch discourse nobody seems to have realized that the frozen prepared meal game has gotten really strong over the past decade or so
Today’s Lunch Tip: Galen MESSED UP and put these on sale for $3.50. Don’t walk, run.

I like how Epson lists their industrial robots on the same website and in the same way as their printers. Now all they have to do is add price tags like the printers have.
