Welles Crowther was a former Boston College lacrosse player and stock broker who saved at least 18 lives on 9/11. After leading survivors out of the World Trade Center, he was last seen wearing a red bandana to protect himself from smoke while going back up to save more people. Today, BC once again plays its annual Red Bandana Game in remembrance of Crowther.
