Manor Park Friends is a voluntary group set up to support Manor Park in Lewisham - to provide news, information, run events and to seek funding for projects.
Great afternoon taking two groups of intrepid people - including enthusiastic and tireless children - in the #RiverQuaggy.
One wade upstream from Manor Park #SE13 to Manor House Gardens, and one downstream to the Lidl on Lee High Road.

Fantastic to be at @ManorPkFriends Autumn Fete today!
As ever great to see Jim Mallory. I also met Paul from @qwag and local families who were getting ready to walk along the river Quaggy!

It's stag beetle time! A male was spotted in Manor Park today. SE London is a hotspot for this protected species. If you see one don't be alarmed as they are harmless and fascinating. Find out more at ptes.org/campaigns/stag-beet… or report a sighting at stagbeetles.co.uk/reportasig…
Thanks to those who joined our virtual meeting last night. Apologies for getting cut off just before the end. We'll get slicker with experience! Here are the minutes for anyone interested. Next meeting in approx 2 months. drive.google.com/open?id=1QZ…
Manor Park featured on the evening news today as a backdrop to a piece about exercising during lockdown. There is warm weather forecast for this weekend but please remember to keep a safe distance from others and do not gather in groups. We want our parks to stay open. #staysafe
We are closing outdoor facilities like play areas, outdoor gyms, skate parks and BMX tracks. Our parks are still open, we are calling on all visitors to be responsible and keep a distance of 2-3 meters.
Another plea from mpf to please keep 2m apart. Lots of people out enjoying the sunshine today but not all of them observing social distancing. Playgrounds have now been locked in Lewisham parks. If we want parks to stay open, we need to be sensible. #coronavirus#Lewisham
The Lee Green Cycle Bus passes through Manor Park every first Friday of the month, before passing Trinity, Brindishe Msnor and Brindishe Lee primary schools. A great way to get a bit of physical and social activity and some greenery into your day before school / work!
The sun is coming out for our Christmas community bike ride. Decorate your bike - mince pies and a special guest. Meet 8am Hither Green Station - all welcome!! RT & pass on
