The oakwood of Knockdrin, Westmeath adjoins our family land. Where I played as a child and probably where I developed my love of forests and nature.

Mullaghmeen in Co. Westmeath. Fantastic beech wood. Next site on for CCF transformation marking. dark inside due to underthinning. We will open open the Forest to encourage natural regeneration and promote quality timber. Hopefully increasing tree species diversity as a result

Bennettsbridge Cubs Scouts Out pulling Himalayan Balsam this evening. Pretty enjoyable pulling it up! We barely walked 100m from the village and came across massive patches. More shoulders to the wheel needed. @nore_vision

Continously Cover Forestry relies on natural regeneration to replace trees in the woodland similar to natural forest processes. In areas with limited seed sources, we also use underplanting . High deer pressure areas mean using deer tubes. A costly exercise!
