Odisha has signed a $3.3 billion chip project with Intel US-based 3D Glass Solutions.
What makes this important?
This is not basic assembly.
India will manufacture advanced glass-core semiconductor substrates used in AI, telecom, defence & high-performance computing.
Planned output:
• 70,000 glass panels/year
• 50 million assembled units
• 13,000 advanced 3D integration modules
India is slowly moving deeper into the semiconductor value chain.
