Spain: Authorities intercepted more than 3 tons of hashish as traffickers unloaded an inflatable boat on the coast of Sardina del Norte, Gran Canaria, arresting nine suspects and seizing the vessel used to transport the shipment.
The operation formed part of a broader investigation by the National Police and Civil Guard targeting a criminal network responsible for moving large quantities of hashish between the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.
Since the launch of the investigation, authorities have arrested 25 suspects and seized more than 7.5 tons of hashish in five separate operations across Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote, along with cash, firearms, bladed weapons, and other evidence.
