In happier news, Playwright has been absolutely solid, with none of the problems that we had with Cypress. No segfaults, no visits from the OOM killer, no weird assertion failures that happen exactly once and never again, no random failures to install the tool itself.

Are you currently using an extension to view JSON in your browser? If so, which one? We'll soon have native JSON display in Microsoft Edge, so we want to be as compatible as possible. RT for reach, cheers!

I’m a big Cypress fan, so I’m shocked to say this: I just switched to @playwrightweb. Here are 16 reasons I switched: 1. WAY Faster. ~2X faster with 1 core. ~6x faster with multiple cores (uses multiple workers) 2. Tests multiple browsers in parallel. 1/5 Comparison:👇

I spent ~20,000 hours programming in Emacs. I finally decided to switch to VSCode. It feels like saying goodbye to an old friend. It's good to always be evolving, always willing to let go of the comfortable old way to discover a better new way.

Mainly that it's just incredibly easy to get up and running with. I've spent enough time with Selenium to categorize it as "use it if you have to, but expect it to take a lot of work" Playwright was shockingly quick to install and start using - and the Python bindings are 💯

Every now and then a tool comes along which adds a fundamental new set of capabilities to your toolbox, and can be multiplied against other tools to open up a huge range of possibilities @playwrightweb feels like one of those tools

Some recent changes in Groupon's front-end technology stack. 1. new projects use TypeScript by default 2. use turborepo instead of lerna to manage monorepo 3. use playwright instead of as e2e testing framework 4. integrate nextjs
