He was voted the 2024 Dan Patch 2-Year-Old Trotter of the Yearafter earning $1,227,695—the highest total for any racehorse that season and the second-highest single-season earnings for a 2-year-old trotter in history. As a freshman, he also set track records at both The Meadowlands and Woodbine Mohawk Park. Maryland, a well-conformed $475,000 yearling, was owned during his racing career by Courant Inc. & partners and trained by Marcus Melander.
