Looking to sell my caravan in Wales to a Veterans charity, so others, like me, could benefit from a place to go & stay in an environment that is peaceful and safe. Do you know any Veterans charities that may be interested in discussing this.? #Veterans 🇬🇧 #MentalHealthMatters 💙

Comments like that reinforce my view that academia has completely lost its way.

Unfortunately, very much marred by the statement from our research lead "Books may have limited value in your area for promotion" which very much surprised some of the senior academics from other institutions I asked (esp. with no discussion on type of book/peer reviewed etc..).

Our History/UML Film: Scotland, Slavery and Statues…to Plaques. Pleased that other people have noticed our evidence-based view that cruel consequences of the past such as racism can be changed for the better using educational truth.

Albie’s 6 now. Little rascals been talking about me in school again as it’s that time of year. He told me this morning on the way that he told his class about me. I got blown up but didn’t cry. If anyone else did they’d have cried for 1000yrs. That’s why he spent money over the weekend donating to the RBL. And told them about me too. He’s not sure if he’s going reveal more about me today in class because he might cry he said. But he’ll let me know when i pick him up. 🥹. I’ve not said anything to my son about my injuries but I’m proud of him for trying to figure it out and having the confidence to try and explain to his whole class. I’m going to sit him down soon I think. Bless my son. The legend! Albie!

There is no Semitic race or ethnicity. There are Semitic languages that include Aramaic, Amharic, Arabic and Hebrew. Antisemitism is racial profiling and persecution of Jews in Europe in the nineteenth century, and globally thereafter. Jew hatred, antisemitism, doesn't include hatred of Arabs. When Arabs hate Jews, they are antisemitic, even if their mother tongue is semitic. Please understand this and put to rest that "We Arabs are Semites and therefore can't be antisemitic." Yes we can be! Antisemitism is the hatred of Jews for being Jews. Disagreeing with Judaism or policies of the Israeli government is ok. Disagreeing with the existence of the internationally recognized state of Israel is antisemitism. Blaming Jews for imagined conspiracies, such as Jews control the US government, or all world governments, or global finance or banks, or media, or Hollywood are all untrue and known antisemitic tropes. The Jews are not a secret cult that controls governments, finance or media, and don't run the world and conspire against non-Jews. Jews are like everybody else, they come in all sizes and shapes, agree and disagree on everything. They share a culture, common past experience, and most importantly, the suffering of unfair bias and hatred against them. So please, stop trying to discredit antisemitism. It is real. The Jews lost six million in the Holocaust. On a per capita basis, that might be the biggest loss of any group throughout history. The Holocaust is the biggest dark spot on human history. Recognize it, and tell your Jewish friends that you understand the anxiety that they have inherited from their ancestors, as well as the anxiety that they suffer today because of similar Jew hatred. And no, Islamophobia is not equal to antisemitism. There are over 1 billion Muslims globally and less than 20 million Jews. A muslim never feels like a minority even if living on the moon. Jews always do, unless they are in Israel. We cannot realize peace until everyone feels safe. As long as the antisemitism injustice continues, there will be no peace, not because the Jews will be forced to defend themselves, but because all of us non-Jews continue to peddle the same hatred and pass it on to generations after us.

Today someone I quite admired in a professional setting slid into my dms, mansplained why my lived experience was wrong and then proceeded to talk about peace and standing up to racism while actually using every anti Jewish trope as defined by IHRA. I am tired…

Allyship - someone told me that allyship is uncomfortable. I’ve always tried my best to be a good ally and have felt the discomfort first hand. Sometimes for speaking up and sometimes from not speaking up or regret for saying the wrong thing. It is hard to know what to say, but

Urgent Advisory from the Israeli Government: Within the next few hours, Hamas terrorists are expected to disseminate photos and videos of hostages and acts of torture across social media platforms. The Government of Israel urgently requests the following actions be taken. 1. Do not engage in sharing these images or videos under any circumstances. Doing so contributes to psychological warfare against both the State of Israel and its citizens. 2. Shield minors from exposure to this disturbing content. The images and videos are highly graphic and could induce significant emotional distress. Your cooperation in adhering to these directives is critically important.
