When businesses feel safe jobs are safe.
When communities feel safe our Liberty is safe.
Our SME businesses are not feeling safe and our ‘Liberty’ is not safe.
Everyday is going from bad to worse.
It is politicians over decades that have created this mess and our people in our heartfelt communities are paying the price.
The UK Government has no sense of the turmoil that many are facing each day.
There is no clear plans to reverse the economic and social mess left by the Tories and now by Labour.

An articulate measured statement.
An on the ground account by my friend @PhillipBrett21 MLA who represents North Belfast and was there last night.
I agree with his position on what needs to happen now.
I Love Belfast and count it my second home.
The locals are empathetic and such a welcoming community.
They have all worked so hard to create place of ‘Opportunity’ and ‘Hope’.
For me this incident cannot be allowed to define Belfast but make it stronger.
Belfast needs support at this time. Their people and businesses need continued friendship through investment and visitors.

Project Acorn
Much talk on carbon capture in Aberdeen by- election.
Usual political rammy with all being economical with
the truth.
Let’s recap the truth on Scotland’s Carbon Capture and Grangemouth being betrayed by the UK Government’s.
The last Tory Government awarded Ineos £600 m export credit guarantee through UK Export Finance to support the construction of their Antwerp Carbon Capture facility.
Whilst UK Government lack of support for Grangemouth leading to its closure.
The Labour government continues with this credit guarantee whilst throwing our workers off the Oil Riggs.
The Greensands Project carbon capture project in the danish north sea where Harbour Energy, Ineos and Norsofoden ( stateowned by Danish govt) owners supports the Ineos factory in Belgium through supply chain.
Harbour Energy is a 30% investor in Acorn amongst other energy backed companies.
Meanwhile the Labour governments promises of £200 M for Acorn is missing in action.
Any money put into these UK projects by the tax payer should have equity in the deal like the Danish Government has at Greensands.
The Scottish Government should invest the £80 M in Acorn for Tax payers Equity
and call out UK Government to put in the £200 M now as tax payers equity.
Plus I will say it again we should be drilling in conjunction with a just transition.
The failure is 40 years of UK Government deindustrialise policy @ScotExpress.

Acorn Project - Carbon Capture.
One week on from UK budget and my views on @ScotlandTonight.
I said it last week and have I been saying it for years. Until both governments get a grip on Scotland and the UK Energy policy we face an economic house of cards .
Another blow Acorn Project
major shareholder Storegga bails out.
Harbour Energy is also a shareholder in this project who paid off another 100 workers this week.
I will not be surprised if they bail out also.

The Scottish Government needs to get on with the day job! Scotland needs jobs and a robust economy.
The UK Government is not delivering.
Both the previous Tory and Labour governments deindustrialised Scotland and the former heartlands north of the Watford gap!
