Hoppe and Davila are probably going to have to probably cover two innings each, because at this rate Logan’s only going to go 4. The Mariners offense needs to score 6 runs if they want a chance at winning this game.

#1 priority for the Mariners at the deadline needs to be a legit high leverage arm, the problem is there really isn’t a lot of options on the market, there is no Duran type of arm available.

A ton of people are saying Aroldis Chapman, but I seriously doubt they’ll go after him. Think about the last time they brought in someone with serious off-field issues or someone they believed could negatively impact the clubhouse. I sure can’t think of one. On top of that, he’s a rental reliever who’s likely going to cost an astronomical amount. History suggests that’s probably an avenue the FO will choose to avoid.
