A Tax Dodge is going to be signed off at Monday's Cabinet meeting. Plans for the council to avoid paying tax to HMRC (nobody like paying tax except residents who keep seeing maximum council tax increases from the council). For it to work 🤷🏻♂️ expect to see @Better_UK branding go

Under @UKLabour waiting lists in Merton have shot up. St Helier is much worse but strangely you don't here the administration party fighting to #SaveStHelier #SaveStGeorges anymore, just another reality of the 🌹Party First, 🤒Patients Last.
Out today in my own stomping ground meeting the new CEO of St George's! He and the team are working to reduce waiting lists and ensure every patient receives the best possible care. Best of all is a new garden for patients being treated for brain injuries to aid their recovery!

Yesterday was the Mitcham Common Conservators’ Meeting 10th June 2026 where the Friends of Mitcham Common was seeking clarification of lies told by @Merton_Council during the election. A couple of days ago the council corrected an instance of their lies but left others without clarification.
But more importantly they failed to correct any of the misinformation at the time of the false statement that was published during the election leaving an obvious lack of trust in anything the council posted, especially after the lies distributed to every resident at the cost of the tax payer, called out by the Government department, UK Statistics Authority.

The Beddington Incinerator has breached permit conditions 976 times across multiple emission exceedances.

False statements by @Merton_Council, posted across social media during the election purdah period were not corrected before the election. @Merton_Council has now admitted they "contained an inaccuracy" late afternoon on the 9th of June, over a month AFTER the election.
There is no doubt that the council Comms Team was not fully aware of replies to their statement calling out the lies, it was even highlighted to council officers by an active councillor at the time. Council comms can no longer be trusted.

A false statement about funding for #MitchamCommon has been made by @Merton_Council, & repeated across different social media channels during the Local Elections Purdah period after @MertonLabour chose to remove a yearly grant to the @MitchamCommon Conservators.
Although the council have admitted fault privately, they have left the false information to be corrected until a later date, presumably not now until Tuesday, after the Bank Holiday.

How much is the Mitcham Common Council Tax Levy? There is one for Wimbledon Common but didn't know there was one for Mitcham Common as it's not mentioned on your website, or is it just a lie during the Local Elections Purdah period. Here is your council tax page confirming the Wimbledon NOT MITCHAM Common Levy.

Lies continue to be peddled by snake oil communications advisor John Haynes from his company Brand Narrative for #SLWP South London Waste Partnership that the permit breaching Incinerator treats "non-recyclable waste", true but also recyclable waste.
"A safe, environmentally sustainable and cost effective" false, it has been proven to be cause heart defects and genital anomaly in children as well as known contributing factors to increase risks for respiratory, cardiovascular, and adverse reproductive outcomes.

This group of people turned up a little late to their own party that they organised.
Once upon a time they would never be caught using the word "Incinerator", only ever saying ERF, EFW, or power plant to distance the facility from the thought of dirty emissions.

Despite local opposition and no clear need for additional capacity, the Environment Agency has approved an increase in waste processing at the Beddington incinerator.
Alongside colleagues, I have written to the Environment Secretary calling for an urgent review of the decision. You can read our letter below.
We will continue to challenge this decision and ensure that residents' voices are heard.
