Realization of the day: I’m not actually driven by money. I want comfort and to provide for my family, but I don’t care about Ferraris or flexing. What I’m really chasing is status through trust. Being widely known, being respected, having access to other respected people I can directly exchange value and collaborate with.

I've had "new link shortening and tracking platform" on my list for months. Just whipped it up with Claude Code, migrated the legacy data, and added it to my Mission Control in about an hour. What a time to be alive.

Is everyone pasting API keys and environment variables right into the chat or...?

I'm really not trying to sound like a boomer dev when I say this but... I don't understand how you could possibly build anything of substance without an IDE. Are you telling me you never once have to look or find any file? I'm not saying I'm reading syntax, but not even taking a peek at anything?? How are people just vibing from fuckin' Telegram?

Using Claude Code to move, organize, and clean up files on your machine might actually be the best thing ever.

TIL: I guess it's standard practice that when you choose to not renew a WordPress plugin subscription it removes the license key section from your account and doesn't even let you see which sites you had the plugin installed on. Cool. (ACF, if you're wondering)

Just now internalizing that: Public perception of a person/business can be objectively inaccurate, yet still have a negative impact. Perception doesn't govern what's true, but it does govern what people think (and ultimately do). And what people do in relation to your business is kinda important.

Just had another incredible AI orchestration idea: I'm putting together a looong story about my life for my website. There are a lot of things that I've forgotten, even though I've documented a lot over the years. I have published almost 1,000 live streams, videos, shorts, and podcast episodes on YouTube. I'm having Claude Code go through all of those videos using yt-dlp, extract the title, date, transcript, and help me add a ton more context to my story. Absolute ridiculous amount of time saved.

A perfect example of why AI orchestration is a vital skill: I had Hermes installed on WSL because when I installed it a month ago, it wasn't available natively on Windows. Yesterday, I downloaded the Windows desktop app that uses the native Windows CLI. It worked, but the configuration was a bit messed up because the two were overlapping and competing with one another (or so I thought). Today, when I tried to update the Windows version today, it completely broke. So what did I do? I went over to my WSL instance of Hermes and had it diagnose and fix the entire thing, so that the Windows version works again and could update. 1. Ask specific questions to the right AI tools. 2. Get a resolution. 3. Go solve the next problem.

Desperately need to remember this when I visit WordPress-related Facebook groups

It pains me to see people doing things manually at this point.

Over complicating your processes will be the death of your business.

Building websites via AI orchestration is so much fun. You should really try it sometime.

Manual development for the sake of developing in the age of AI is the easiest way to go out of business. I'm not saying you should vibe code everything. I'm saying the old way of doing things is not the best way anymore. I'm seeing this in actual businesses and agencies now, first hand. Scary stuff.
