The "Football" / "Soccer" debate reminds me of Trigger out of Only Fools and Horses.

Maths-related: Usually pupils are taught to add and subtract mixed nos. via improper fractions. But what happens if the whole nos. are more awkward ? Do we stick with improper fractions, or do we do the whole numbers separately, with "risk" of carrying and borrowing ?
Most people will give the correct answer as 15 to this modified GCSE question when they see it written down, but if I were to dictate it to them, quite a few might give the answer as 17. I wonder why !

I was looking out at the night sky tonight and thought I was seeing double-double. The Twins (Castor and Pollux) appeared to have doppelgangers in the same area of sky ! The doppelgangers were Mars and Al Nath (Beta Tauri).
@GylesBi @susie_dent Found an old word game called "Bali" in the attic. It's a cross between Scrabble and patience and deserves more attention, as it's a good game of skill.
Following on from the last tweet, the area in square metres is about 5.6 times the square of the side length in metres. Also , the square was the wrong answer when maximising the area for 3 sides. It's half a regular hexagon, or about 30% bigger than the square.
