I watched LLOYDY 3/4 times this is the kind of loan that works , Ben was a massive part of why Newport stayed up ,

Personally don't think we should hold of of loans until Jan, Lloyd was a great example. It took him a year to progress at Newport, didn't have a great first half of the season, then performed well in the second half I can see what you're saying but think year loans are beneficial

I’m pretty sure that Swansea will only send lads out on loan in January, hopefully Matos will then have a better idea of what he’s actually got ??
Replying to @MarkRees2176
From what I have picked up from conversations matos has had, he very much wants us to look at our youngsters first and push them on, before going elsewhere. Hopefully he is true to his word

My point exactly Paul , loans aren’t for everyone, let’s develop the best of the rest ourselves
Replying to @MarkRees2176
Just go back a few seasons and look at the loans we have brought in they have been nowhere near this level but then they end up blocking the pathway and preventing our own from getting a chance. Way too many poor loans brought in and even a few signings nowhere near it

Anybody who are in doubt about how much Fillip ment to the Falkirk fans , Kirstie messaged me the very 1st game Fil played and she stated “what a superstar we’ve got here ,nice one Kirstie xxx
Well said Kirstie 👏👏👏

I know it’s a difficult one for manager why bring in young lads on loan when we’ve got lads with potential there already , Matos knows best . Yes Blair the second half of the season made great progress , he was a bit nervous to start with but his development has been epic

I'm with you on giving youngsters a chance. I have watched a lot of the academy games (not as much as you) we have some great players coming through. I have never seen fil have a bad game and I also like the look of Blair McKenzie he looks very comfortable on and off the ball

2/2 most players on the park, backed up by the number of times he was in team of the week & being in SPL team of the season. If you guys don’t think he’s ready every Falkirk supporter would be glad to have him back-although I suspect many richer clubs would want to step in first

1/2 Fil last season had multi million pound players - some of whom are at the World Cup - in his back pocket last season playing in the SPL for the first time in a team made up of players who had come thro Division 1 and Championship. He was frequently head and shoulders above

Fil is a better player simple as that no need for you to get your knickers in a twist it’s only my opinion, and I’m sorry it doesn’t match your opinion

Burgess is playing in the world cup ffs. It doesnt matter which country. Thats still the highest level any footballer can reach. Yet he cant be someone our youngest defenders learn from?

Wasn’t saying he is good enough , what I was pointing out was if your a youngster it doesn’t matter how well you play /perform in pre season certain managers won’t take the chance when the season starts
Josh Thomas is not the example you need to use as he isn’t good enough unfortunately. If they are good enough, they’ll play. I can’t remember a player who hasn’t broken into the team and we’ve let go who has gone onto bigger and better things than us?

To be fair I do understand to a point , it’s a leap of faith to give a youngster a start more so centre back or central midfield ,
Replying to @MarkRees2176
And that Mark has been the problem, managers too scared to try them.

I didn’t want to be that blunt 👀👀 but I agree
we simply cannot have our young centre halves learning off cameron burgess.

There has to be a pathway , no point otherwise
It's not about adoring the academy, it's about the youngsters getting a chance to step up. We need 1/2 every year making that progression otherwise we just end up with a group of players too old for the U21's and considered not experienced enough for the first team.

He played as many at C/B also
He is but he’s just played his first senior season and has been quality at rb so why change it 🤷‍♂️ and he most definitely won’t be behind key or Parker

Hopefully
Cameron Congreve prime example of that Ry. Dragged off after 25 minutes at Boro away by Russell Martin and not seen again that season no doubt killed his confidence as he wasn’t ready. Took him 2 loans to get where he is now got to be due some game time next year.

Fil will surpass anything Ben or Burgess have achieved up to now I hope Matos gives him a good run of games and I know it’s a leap of faith but Fil is something special , 🤞there are more positive signings
Replying to @MarkRees2176
I think he should play and stay ive said that, burgess is experienced played at all levels and can help him out and could useful for him, or Ben at least

Sorry Alex, I think Fil should carry on doing what he did last season ask any Falkirk fan , whatever position he played he stood his ground against the best strikers in the league , not sure Burgess is the mentor for him
Replying to @MarkRees2176
Do think as much as people hate on burgess, is extremely useful, his experience will help the young Cbs we have to improve and grow, would like to see lissah shadow him and work with him

He is out on loan
All well and good standing out at that level Mark but need experience playing against men rather than kids. I’d be sending him on loan somewhere before getting him involved..
