You’re seeing retirees, families, and even younger Americans leaving for places like Chiang Mai and Hua Hin because life is simply cheaper, slower, and less stressful. One American couple retired there and rents a 3-bedroom home in a gated community for about $870/month after paying ~$2,100 for a one-bedroom abroad.
