My brother's fiancée refused to contribute financially to their wedding, even though she's doing slightly better than him. He only asked her to buy her own wedding gown, but she insisted that since he's the one marrying her, the responsibility is entirely his. She said she will only start assisting financially after they are legally married. My dad said a wedding is a joint project and both parties should contribute however they can. My brother tried talking to her dad, but he said if a man chooses to marry, he should be prepared to shoulder the entire cost without complaints. Now my brother is having second thoughts and asking if the wedding should even go on.
