The biggest flex in cybersecurity? Not certifications. Consistency.

A lot of beginners quit because they think they're behind. You're not behind. You're learning a skill that takes years to master.

Malicious GitHub Repositories If you’re in tech, be extra careful. Some scammers share GitHub repos as “test assignments” or “tools.” Not all repos are safe - always check the code, contributors, and activity before cloning or running anything.

Well, in cybersecurity, "break things and fix them" doesn't mean damaging real systems.😂 It means creating a safe environment (like a home lab) and experimenting: Misconfigure a Linux server ~ figure out why it stopped working. Block network traffic with a firewall rule ~ troubleshoot and restore connectivity. Deploy a vulnerable machine ~ find the vulnerability and patch it. Break a script ~ debug it until it runs correctly. Every mistake teaches you something. The people who learn fastest are usually the ones who aren't afraid to mess things up in a lab and then spend time figuring out how to fix them.
You might ask again," Break things, fix them. "... I see this a lot, but how?

You build by doing. Set up a home lab, break things, fix them, learn Linux, analyze network traffic, complete CTFs, and document your work. Knowledge sticks when your hands are on the keyboard, not just watching videos.
