We're still unsure why a platform like BEAM that thrives in creating bridges for streamers across 100 platforms was a target of such a vicious DDoS attack. But after 24 hours we can report that our packet filtering is working and BEAM has become consistently accessible again!

We're currently mitigating the largest DDoS attack I've seen in more than 30 years of managing servers. The attack is so large that it's impacted the entire datacenter hosting our core servers. Our teams are working around the clock to restore full service and come back stronger!

On May 7th, BEAM launched the beta of our FTL technology. Since then we've released 28 fixes and optimizations focused on reliability and ultra low latency performance. We're now seeing consistently ultra low latency streams and are targeting a full platform release on June 1st.
