The Master’s Seminary is thrilled to host five expository preaching workshops throughout 2026 located in Walnut Creek, CA; Prescott, AZ; Washington D.C.; Dallas, TX; and St. Louis, MO. John MacArthur said expository preaching is “preaching in such a way that the meaning of the Bible passage is presented entirely and exactly as it was intended by God.” The goal of these preaching workshops is to help any preacher or Bible teacher, no matter his experience, do that more effectively. Each workshop looks at tools to . . . --Analyze the Text --Outline the Passage --Identify the original meaning --Organize the sermon --Use Illustrations effectively --Craft compelling introductions and conclusions For more information and to register visit macarthurcenter.org/workshop

"God may use the faithful character and behavior of our everyday, ordinary lives to make door-opening impressions, change the minds of our worst critics, and break down the preconceived notions of unbelievers about what it means to follow Jesus." —Matt Ng #TMSBlog

This past month, we gathered to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Master’s Seminary. It was a joyful evening of fellowship and reflection on God’s abundant faithfulness to TMS over the past four decades. We were deeply encouraged to see founding faculty, current leadership, ministry partners, graduates, and their families all join together for this special milestone.

“The only logical response to inerrant Scripture . . . is to preach it expositionally. By expositionally, preaching in such a way that the meaning of the Bible passage is presented entirely and exactly as it was intended by God.” —John MacArthur

"For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." —Romans 5:6-8

"In the face of severe obstacles, how can we operate with a kind of supernatural courage and peace? It is because of the truth of Psalm 46:1, 'God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble.'" —Nathan Busenitz #TMSChapel

"Prayer begins and ends not with the needs of man but with the glory of God (John 14:13). It should be concerned primarily with who God is, what He wants, and how He can be glorified.” —John MacArthur, "Alone With God"

"My prayer and longing, not just for pastors but for all believers, is that they would come to the end of their lives and be able to exhale with the apostle Paul, I have fought the good fight. And as long as we are alive, this fight will never end. The characters change, the scenes shift, but the battle remains the same—the fight is always and ever over the Word of God... The hardest part of the fight is to not become so jaded by the battle that you lose your love, compassion, and joy with the people you shepherd week in and week out. The wonderful thing about a long-term ministry is that you are surrounded and supported by so many loving and faithful people who are living evidence of genuine, flourishing Christianity. Pastors would do well to stay at a church long enough to see that." — John MacArthur info.tms.edu/why-i-fight

"Humility and dependence are linked character traits. They go hand in hand. A person who is humble will be dependent on God. A humble person realizes who he is before an all powerful God. The person who regularly depends on God will be characterized by humility." — Michael Grisanti #TMSChapel youtube.com/watch?v=SN0G9IOL…
