Where else would your garbo truck driver toot the horn at 6:39am on his way past your house to remind you that you slept in & forgot to get the bins out, before looping back to pick them up? Legend! #binnight#straya
“The department has pledged that by June next year, every public high school will have a full-time school counsellor and a full-time student support officer.”
Fantastic!🤞🤞 theguardian.com/australia-ne…
This time next week, the #AFL will know the position of clubs on our licence bid. Several have already expressed their support.
Going to be a big week! #excitingbelievetasmanian.com.au
We can almost fill the @MCG 👏👏👏
Thanks to all who’ve pledged their support for a Tasmanian #AFL team.

A reminder, the #AFL commissioned Colin Carter to independently review our business case.
In his 31-page report, which overwhelmingly supported a Tasmanian licence, he made no mention of #Tasmania's entry being dependent on a new stadium.
Amid the preoccupation with a new stadium & posturing of self-interested presidents are we missing the crux of the debate over a Tassie AFL team?
The @AFL has a simple question to answer… Is it the right thing to do?
I’m a categoric YES
Tasmania’s 1958 carnival side that beat WA and SA.
Baldock, Hodgson, Gale, Eade, Leedham, Conlan, Leo, Spencer… What a lineup.
Our boys and girls need the chance to play senior footy for Tassie. #Believe
🤣🤣 Tony, Tassie will wash its own face.
Meanwhile, GC has cost the AFL 198-million in the past decade.
A footy heartland with a rock-solid business case should not be precluded as a result of the costly expansion into non-traditional footy markets.
On the latest SACKED podcast, Tony Cochrane details his reservations about Tasmania's AFL bid and why he fears it could cost teams more than $10m a year.

The line being peddled that the AFL can’t afford a Tasmanian team is pure propaganda.
A blatant grab at cash from the Tasmanian Government.
Is there another government that has to pay 20-million annually for a team?
Disappointing schedule from @CricketAus No test match for Tassie? all we get is a solitary ODI! Cairns & Townsville get 3, Gold Coast gets 2. Why does Tasmania get the middle finger once again? I can see another wave of juniors crossing to basketball if you don’t lift your game..
The final push. Time to show the trademark Tassie passion. Feels like we are so close this time, can’t let it slip through our fingers.
