The biggest part was when she told him that sometimes the hardest thing isnβt changing itβs accepting that youβve changed.
This conversation mattered because Zuko spent most of his life chasing honor from others his father, the Fire Nation, even his ancestors. But Toph basically forced him to realize that redemption isnβt something people hand to you instantly. Itβs something you live with every day until your actions finally outweigh your past.
And after that moment, Zuko stopped trying to prove he was good. He just started being good.
