This is what I get to do!! GMS was one of my five schools last year. This is ONE year of REFUSING to accept the status quo!!!! It was an honor working with Jared, Brandon, and Megan to make this happen!! I am so proud!! And so excited to continue the fight!

My current pondering: I’m starting to hate the term “differentiation” because it means we didn’t plan a lesson with all of our students in mind to begin with. Does “differentiation” allow us to blame the Other/“lesser” students who don’t fit how we think students should learn…?

Kid scores 100% on a retest... Only given a 70%. For what possible justification do we put scores in the gradebook that do not match what a student knows?
There is no average time to learn something. Punishing students for taking longer to learn something seems archaic
