I just got 10 copies of my book for resale as signed and arted copies. Just boxed up this one with its sketch of a confused rover. It’s pretty awesome to be able to get paid for doodling in textbooks, something I’ve done all my life! etsy.me/3NfMmpQ

Time for another Sunday adventure
Nothing like a 15km walk to round out the week! Tired, but quietly pleased with myself for doing it!

Renewable energy is cool. In one photo we can see a 60 year old station providing renewable, reliable energy to Aotearoa. In another we can see a wood pellet plant harnessing clean heat from under our feet. #geothermal #engineeringiscool #aotearoa

The most interesting factor about being mostly project delivery focused, and very much not responsible for the technical decisions anymore, is trying to find the right intersection between guiding the success of the projects whilst giving the team the freedom to own their....

decisions, and come up with the solutions. Sometimes I can see a certain outcome happening, but it all comes down to being able to steer it in a better direction whilst not overstepping boundaries. It can be easy to fall back to a technical mindset and do the things.

All that said, this isn't new - and I think it's something that we all grapple with in the first few years of being focused on outcomes than on the individual deliverables. It's important to empower and develop the team & give them the room to thrive within their contribution
Good on ya @RocketLab It was hard, there were many long nights, an immense amount of grit, determination, and a few crazy challenges along the way. The team did it though, and now there's a payload on the way to the moon. It's an amazing achievement that all should be proud of

The HyperCurie engine on the Photon Lunar spacecraft should have now ignited to impart 416 m/s of delta-V and raise #CAPSTONE's orbit towards the Moon. Stay tuned for updates.
